The Diary of a Country Parson [The Diary of a Country Parson]
the ↑diary of James Woodforde (1740–1803), which was published in five volumes (1924–31) more than a hundred years after his death. It describes Woodforde’s life as a ↑parson (= priest) in the country village of Weston Longeville in ↑Norfolk, and is full of enthusiasm for the ordinary pleasures of life, especially food.
